The Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) has been developing commercial models of fixed container inspection systems for 16 years since 2000. UNISCAN’s Container Inspection System, which commercializes KAERI's original technology, is a system optimized for non-destructive inspection to scan cargo containers in ports around the world. It is a reliable inspection system that can detect weapons, nuclear materials, and smuggled goods in cargo containers quickly and accurately through powerful X-ray imaging and radiation scanning.

UNISCAN’s Container Inspection System is being fully operational in three locations, Busan and Incheon since 2018 and Pyeongtaek after its completion in 2020. UNISCAN provides not only the development of inspection and scanning equipment, but also the overall system services, such as civil engineering / construction of facilities and network construction, and operation of equipment in order to build a fixed container inspection system. UNISCAN can build a customized inspection system according to the needs of each port.
